About This Tour

Twelve days from Cairo to the far south and out into the Western Desert. The classic route through the Nile valley, extended by two days in the oases of Kharga and Dakhla that almost no standard tour includes.

Pyramids and Saqqara in Cairo, then a flight to Aswan for Philae, the High Dam and the temples of Abu Simbel. A three-night Nile cruise via Kom Ombo and Edfu brings you to Luxor, with a full day on each bank.

The last two days lead west into the desert. Kharga is the largest of Egypt's western oases, with the well preserved Hibis Temple, wide date palm groves and Roman era desert fortresses. Dakhla is considered by many travellers the most beautiful oasis in the country: the medieval mud brick old town of Al-Qasr, lush orchards, hot springs and a backdrop of pink cliffs and sand dunes.
