About This Tour

A Dahabiya is the traditional sailing boat of the Nile, much smaller and quieter than a typical Nile cruiser. We use it to cover the route from Luxor to Aswan in four days, mooring at remote islands instead of touristy ports.

Highlights along the way: the colourful temple of Esna, the nobles tombs of El-Kab, the well preserved temple of Horus at Edfu, the El Silsila sandstone quarry, the double temple of Kom Ombo, the Daraw camel market and a Nubian village.

The route is fixed, the pace is set by the wind. Meals and accommodation on board are included.
